Many times it’s not what you put on your face that will ward away wrinkles; it’s what you put in your mouth. Clinical studies show evidence that drinking green tea may be a necessary aspect of anti-aging skin care routines. Skin-care products containing green tea extract are also a worthy addition to a beauty routine.

According to researchers, green tea is filled with antioxidants, which help protect the body from free radicals. Free radicals are naturally occurring particles that accelerate the aging process and the likeliness of disease in the body. Other factors, like pollution, excess sunlight, and smoking also increase the number of free radicals in the body. The antioxidants in green tea are believed to fight excess free radicals in the blood and make you look younger.
