Looking for an essential oil is not as hard as it used to be. With the dawn of the internet, shopping for your favorite essential oil can even be done within the comfort of your own room. The question is however, how sure are you that what you have is not simply fragrance oils?

Here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • A reliable online seller of essential oils would most likely give you detailed information on the type of oil that they are selling. They would commonly even indicate the ingredients of their oil.
  • They would provide you with ways on how to contact them to verify details about their products.
  • An authentic essential oil is commonly stored on amber or dark-colored bottles. If they you see the seller keeping the oils in a different container, then there is a probability that what they have are fragrance oils or plain massage oils.
  • Since essential oils undergo a complicated and intricate process, they usually do not come cheap. If you come across aromatherapy essential oils whose prices seem too good to be true, then walk away.

Why do we apply sugar scrubs on our skin?  Is it because it makes us feel soft and smooth or is it because it makes our skin glow.  Although both answers are correct but did you know it is good for cellulite too?  Sugar scrub exfoliate dead skin cells while hydrating and restoring skin.  It stimulates and circulates lymph fluids as well as give it a deep cleanse that acts as a polisher.   It is noteworthy that sugar scrubs do not have any abrasive side effects; therefore, they are safe when used properly. This is it gives us that glowing skin we love.

Since sugar scrubs are safe, terrific for every skin type and especially those with very dry skin; this way you can get rid of your rough pumice stones or other skin care products.  It is so safe, you can use sugar scrubs everyday without any bruising on our face or body.  Not only can women use sugar scrubs but men can use them after shaving to obtain that smooth effect and children can also use sugar scrubs as well.  Happy scrubbing!

Creating Your Own Sugar Scrub

Technology may have allowed us to do things in a faster way but it has also led us to be more and more tired with trying to keep up with technology’s own pace. Because of this, most people have found it hard to really focus on taking care of their skin. If you are one of them, then we have a solution for you – your very own sugar scrub.

In order to create your own sugar scrub, you need to have with you half a EFG Sugar Scrubcup of sugar, lemon juice (from one lemon), and a tablespoon of vegetable oil. If you want to go funky about it, you can have food coloring.

Once you have all the items, mix them in a clean bowl, except for the coloring which you can add only when the mixture is already consistent.

Another way to go about having your own sugar scrub is to add to a cup of sugar a teaspoon of glycerin and half a teaspoon of vitamin E oil. You can then sprinkle a few drops of your favorite aromatherapy essential oil like Lavender, Chamomile, Sandalwood, Grapefruit, Vanilla, and Geranium.

If you would not be able to consume all of your sugar scrub, make sure that you store them n a glass container with a tight lid. Avoid using plastic ones as essential oils can be easily absorbed by plastic.

Natural massage oils were originally developed for healing, spiritual work and relaxation.  Although still used for these reasons people today typically use massage oils to relieve fatigued muscles and relax the body all while leaving the skin glowing and healthy.  To produce this relaxing sensation one must create oil blends to stimulate the body’s senses and after a hard day’s work a massage would relieve any amount of stress that you may have built up.

So, how do you think aromatherapy massage oil would benefit you?   May be setting time aside from your busy day to relax, get a massage and meditate.  Doing this has been proven to help manage your stress.  So I ask you, do you want to carry your stress from yesterday to today and to tomorrow?  If not, a little bit of oil, a good massage and some mediation should do the trick.

How do you choose?

Spa products are everywhere saying all types of things.   Therefore, you don’t know which spa product better suites you.  For starters, should you go with spa products that are all natural or not?  Should you buy the spa products that have the most advertisements or do you buy the one that doesn’t have any advertisements?  Most importantly, should you buy the more expensive spa products or the most affordable?   These and many other questions run through your mind when are searching for that perfect skin care products.  Let’s see which spa products better suite you.

We are now in an era where there is great concern about formaldehydes, petrochemicals and other dangerous ingredients that are (unfortunately) common ingredients in several spa products; therefore, one may want to consider 100% natural products to apply to their natural skin.  As far as advertised spa products one has to consider that all of that marketing has to come from consumer dollars.  We already know that the same ingredients can be in the next product however, we will not buy that unknown product (that is more affordable) because we never seen an advertisement for that particular brand.  Therefore, not only are you paying for the label but when you purchase that highly commercialized product you are essentially paying for their advertisement.  Lastly and most importantly, is price.  Do we buy high end or simply bottom shelf?  I say look at the back of the products.  Funny, if stores simply turn products around where we do not recognized logos but are forced to buy off of ingredients I guarantee our grocery bill would not be as painful.  My advice is to look at the back of the product and not just front.  I know this is common sense but I have realized that common sense isn’t so common.
